Hosting your first site
Getting started with Blok.Host
To get started with Blok.Host, follow these simple steps:
Step 1: Sign up for an account
Head over to https://blok.host and sign up for an account. You can either connect your crypto wallet or sign in via common web2 channels such as Google or Github.
Step 2: Create a new site
Once you're logged in, click on the “new site” button and hit next.
Step 3: Upload your website
Upload your site in a zipped file, making sure to include your index.html file in the zip. You can drag and drop your website directly to the upload your site area, just make sure it is in a zipped folder.
Step 4: Create your site
Click the “create site” button and authorise the transaction if required.
Step 5: Wait for your site to upload
Wait for a few seconds or so for the site to be uploaded.
At this point, you have the option to link your custom Web2 domain name to your website hosted on Blok.Host. if you do not want to do this simply click “Next”. Blok.Host will assign a free unique subdomain for each unique site. This domain can be changed with ease at any time through the admin dashboard.
Step 6: Check your site
Your site is now live and you should be able to see the link and visit your decentralised website right away!
